AAI Seed Fund campaign gets a strong start in Vienna

At the AAIM in Vienna, we successfully launched the AAI Seed Fund,  a campaign with the goal of raising €300,000 in start-up capital over the next 24 months.  We launched the campaign as a result of the AAI Seed Fund Draft Plan that we presented during the Working Group on fundraising and received strong endorsement from all attendees for building AAI’s financial sustainability.

The Seed Fund will help AAI accelerate the development of AlumNet, build a small office and staff to help manage AAI’s growth, and for working capital purposes.

AIESEC Alumni Hall of Fame Award winner Haruo Kano of Mexico was named Fundraising Director for the AAI Seed Fund and former AI Secretary General, AAI co-founder and AIESEC Alumni Hall of Fame member Victor Loewenstein will serve as our campaign’s Honorary Chairman.  Both of them made generous pledges along with others, and we left Vienna with more than €50,000 in commitments.  Based on this strong start, we’re well on our way toward our goal of raising over €100,000 by December 31, 2013!

Haruo is building a Fundraising Committee with leaders from each of the regions to help identify and approach potential contributors to the AAI Seed Fund.  Are you interested in joining our Fundraising team?  Do you know someone who is well suited to this effort?  We would love to hear from you by responding to this blog or contacting Haruo at [email protected]

Are you ready to join us with a donation?  Just download, complete and return the AAI Donation Pledge Form to Haruo or AAI.  By contributing to the AAI Seed Fund, you will help AAI accelerate the execution of our Transformation Project and achieve our vision of an active global network of alumni, with a lifelong connection to AIESEC.

Only through the commitment of alumni around the world, will we be able to achieve our goal.  Thank you for your support!
