This just in from AIESEC Alumni Asia-Pacific President Gavin Ng about the tragedy in the Philippines and what the AIESEC community is doing — and can do — to help:
We are sad to see such sufferings in the areas affected by Typhoon Haiyan, but we are doing our best with donation drives across all the organizations we are connected with, including AIESEC. We continue to pray as we watch each day unfolding with more aid being delivered and more rebuilding. AAI can spread the donation drive best by publicizing the attached poster, and we thank the AIESEC global community for listening and lending a hand.
Relief goods collection points for local in-kind donations have also been set up in Manila with the MC office and key alumni offering their staff and office to assist. Such goods will be repacked if necessary and forwarded to St Scholastic’s School (linked to AAP President Migs Ramos) which is a collection point for airlifting to Tacloban thereafter. Migs has spearheaded these efforts, and it is a testament to her and her dedicated team of activated alumni (MOSTLY A-Group members)!

All LBC branches (local and international) now accepts all donations. All donations must be properly label to: LBC Foundation – LBC Hangar. Primary beneficiary of those donations will be Philippine Red Cross. For international branches – we also do accept pick-up of donations (balikbayan boxes) but the donor need to call our respective customer service hotline to schedule the pick-up.
