Do you remember your first international AIESEC meeting? I do. For me it was the AIESEC International Congress in Louvain la Neuve, Belgium in 1978, where I went as a US delegate. Several hundred youth gathered together from around the globe to experience international understanding and exchange pink and green forms. For me, it started my own journey of personal transformation, to becoming a global citizen. As a result of that event alone, I have maintained lifelong friendships that have stood the test of time.
Almost 40 years have passed since my first international AIESEC meeting, but the promise of AIESEC lives on. And that vision, those experiences and values, live strong among more than 1,000,000 AIESEC alumni around the globe.
Over the past 5 years, I’ve travelled to over 10 international AIESEC Alumni meetings in Europe, Asia and Latin America, and the magic of lifelong connection to AIESEC is stronger than ever. When you meet AIESECers of all ages, you remember that no matter which generation we belong to, we share common bonds, experiences and values. There is instant connection and deep mutual respect.
That opportunity awaits you in Warsaw, Poland from August 20th to 23rd, where the theme will be Leaders Connecting for Change. Hundreds of AIESECers of all ages will gather from around the globe, to relive their experiences, see old friends and join our global AA leadership community. There will be plenty of networking, business connections, inspiration, education and a strong dose of AIESEC spirit! You’ll also experience the wonder of an International Congress and meet over 1,000 AIESECers from around the globe.
When was the last time you joined an AIESEC International Congress or AIESEC Alumni international meeting? If it’s been too long to remember, come join us in Warsaw. If you’ve been with us in recent years, you already know why it’s an incredible opportunity.
Come back to AIESEC and join us in Warsaw!
Yours in AIESEC,
Andrew G. Rowe, AAI President
