Let’s come to the aid of one of our own!

Tatiana Mykhailyuk, President of AIESEC International, has asked the global AIESEC alumni community to come to the aid of AIESEC Bosnia and Herzegovina MCVP Irma Bejdic.

Irma lost her right arm and suffered severe head injuries in August of last year in the terrible accident of the Study Tour bus following IC in Kenya that also, tragically, took the life of AIESEC Bolivia MCP Elmer Pérez Requiz.  Since then, Irma has undergone several plastic surgeries, and her recovery has been slow.

Irma’s medical expenses to date of 200,000 Euros have been covered by insurance, various ministries in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and her parents. However, Irma needs an additional 150,000 Euros for the next phases of her treatment, which include facial reconstruction and an artificial arm.

Let’s show how AIESEC alumni can come to the aid of a fellow AIESECer by each of us sending 5 Euros or more in support of Irma!

An account has been opened in Munich with the following details:

Account owner: IRMA BEJDIC
Name of bank: STADTSPARKASSEBANK MUNCHEN
80791, Munchen
IBAN: DE22701500001002130829
SWIFT: SSKM DE MM

The bank account details for those transferring from within Germany are:
Kontonummer 1002130829
Bankleitzahl 701 500 00

You may alternatively support Irma directly via PayPal by sending funds to [email protected].  Either way, please note the words “alumni contribution” in the comments area of your transfer and indicate that it is a donation (“spende” in German).

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Senad Sabanovic, MCP of AIESEC Bosnia and Herzegovina at [email protected].

UPDATE AS OF 27 APRIL :  401 AIESECers – alumni and members from across the globe – have supported Irma by donating €12,213 towards her medical expenses!  Click here for the list of donors as of 27 April.

  33. UPDATE AS OF 15 APRIL : in six short days, nearly 150 AIESECers – alumni and members – have supported Irma so far by donating 4,595 Euros towards here medical expenses (even more if you reflect that organizations in Japan and the Netherlands donated as a group). THANK YOU! See the end of the updated post, above, for a link to the list of donors as of 15 April. Can we grow the list of supporters to 1,000? To 10,000?

  34. Did my donation arrive? Because I’m not on the list. It was just a small sum, but just checking to prevent other people’s donations from not arriving in case it’s a mistake anywhere in the system.

    1. Same with me. The transfer was completed on April 12, but I don’t see the name in the list. Hopefully everything is ok with the transfer.

      1. adminNina Markovic says:

Dear Bene and Lidiya, did you donate via paypal or directly on bank account?

      2. Directly via bank account

      3. adminBenedikt Glatzl says:

But now that I think about it – probably it’s because bank transfers take some time.

      4. adminNina Markovic says:

Yes, we have a bit slower update there, but I am sure that everything is ok with the payment. We expect next update tomorrow, so I will inform you did they came. Thank you again for your support!
