Please describe your AIESEC experience and accomplishments.
My greatest passion in AIESEC was around the members in the organization – and my accomplishments always focused on ensuring increased quality experience for the membership. From ensuring increased quality exchange experience, coaching and mentoring the LC’s to achieve results to ensuring well run conferences and events. 1996-99 AIESEC Saskatoon, (Conference OCP, TN Sales, LCP); 1999-2000 MCVP AIESEC in Costa Rica (Incoming Exchange); 2000-2001 MCVP AIESEC in Sweden (Exchange, LC Development); 2001-2002 MCVP AIESEC in France (Corporate Relations); 2002-2004 AIESEC in Canada (NST)
Please describe your AIESEC Alumni experience and accomplishments.
My first few years as an AIESEC Alumni I was contributing to the association at a local level with the 4 LC’s in Montreal. Attending international events, I became more involved with AAI. My responsibilities and involvement have been in working with the EB on strategies and processes around membership management and growth My accomplishments have been limited to managing the membership list and ensuring there has been a standard process for the membership. I have continued my involvement on a local level as part of the BoA as well as continuing to attend Alumni conferences.
Please describe your professional experience and accomplishments.
I have over 14 years of experience in the field of finance and administration management in the film industry. 4 years ago, I begun working in a more entrepreneurial spirit – and venturing to being a self-employed. My work is focused around collaborating with startups and small businesses to develop systems of managing finances, keeping the accounting up to date and consulting on business management. I have recently partnered with fellow AIESEC Alumni with a start-up company and am venturing into areas around communications and event management for the organization.
What is your vision for AAI?
For AAI to become a fully unified and relevant global network of AIESEC Alumni contributing in a strategic manner with AIESEC student organization to develop peace and fulfilment of humankind’s potential.
What skills and perspective would you bring to the Executive Board?
I have skills with membership management, AlumNet administration and have a strong understanding of the current state of AIESEC Alumni associations and challenges on the local, national and international levels. I also have a strong background in financial
management, administration processes, HR training and marketing. I believe in creating and maintaining efficient processes and working in a strategic manner; putting limited resources to the best use, to achieve organizational goals. I would ensure that as an
EB we have a strong, clear action plan that allows us to progress and work in synergy as a team.
What, specifically, would you most like to work on as an EB member?
I would like to work on strategies involving integrated membership growth, the membership value proposition, RAA/NAA development as well as platform integration and relevance (AlumNet or other). I am passionate about the potential that we have as a network and in ensuring that we have a strong paid membership base contributing to and benefiting from the success and size of the global network.
Are you willing and committed to undertake responsibility for developing, implementing and overseeing specific tasks at AAI?
Yes – This would be my main motivation of applying for an EB role.
Will you be able to attend two in-person meetings per year and participate in weekly calls?
Yes – Note that in person meetings would be dependent on location and dates – Ideally if they can be held around the AAI conferences it would make things easier for me, and I am sure the other EB members. I have in the past attended at least two international or regional AIESEC Alumni gatherings.
