Viennese Ball at the Hofburg Wien

More than 50 cheerful AIESECers (Youth and Alumni) gathered on a recent weekend to celebrate a glamorous ball night in one of Vienna’s most impressive locations. The “Hofburg Wien”, the event venue, was the residence of the former emperor during the period of the Austrian Monarchy.

Every year, the Business Faculty of the University of Economy of Vienna, which is Europe’s largest Business Faculty with over 35,000 students, celebrates with a stylish ball night. This year there were over 3500 guests in attendance.

AIESECers were amongst the largest and most colorful groups at this ball, which is the largest of its kind. Sitting in the main hall, all the guests could enjoy a perfect atmosphere. The last stand was at 05:30 in the morning, then, after a few hours of sleep, the alumni reconvened for an inspiring brunch at the Café “Landtmann”, one of the most famous coffee houses.

The weekend offered many other wonderful activities, such as a special dinner on Friday evening organized in support of a project with social impact, a guided sightseeing tour through Vienna that revealed insights to visitors as well native Viennese and a specially organized dancing lesson.

AAI executive board members Beatrice Pesci and Alexander Tichy took this opportunity to sit together for the weekend and continue the development of upcoming endeavors, along with fellow Alumni and Youth AIESEC leadership from all over Europe. AIESEC Alumni Austria brought together 6 generations of former and current Presidents.

What a great event! Kudos to AIESEC in Austria and the Organizing Committee.
